5 Group Types You Didn't Know Fundscrip Works Well With
We all know FundScrip is great for sports teams, school trips, churches, and much more. However, it's not limited to those few group types only. On the contrary, the fundraising program is useful in many ways and for many types of group that you might not have thought of.
Baton Twirling
Baton Twirling is relatively new as a sport and involves the manipulation of a baton, which is a metal rod, and physical conditioning and coordination. Baton Twirling groups can raise funds for competition fees and expenses, training camps, and more.
Dragon Boat
Dragon Boat racing is a sport that has began more than 2,000 years ago in China. A team typically consists of 22 people, including 20 paddlers. Dragon Boat teams usually need donations for boat maintenance or rental, dock rental, boat storage, insurance, race entry fees, travel, equipment... and it goes on.
Food Banks
Many Canadians live with hunger and Food Banks are there to help distribute food to those in need. FundScrip is amazing for this type of group because we offer grocery gift cards and allow groups to raise funds while getting them!
Kin-Ball
Kin-Ball was created in Quebec in 1987. This team sport is played with a ball of four feet in diameter. Like any other sports, practicing Kin-Ball involves fees and expenses that donations raised through FundScrip can help cover.
Roller Skating
Roller Skating can be recreational, but is also a sport. Funds can be used for renovations, for example if the floor needs to be resurfaced.
If you are not currently supporting a group of your own, it doesn't mean that you can't use FundScrip. In fact, we've recently shared a success story update about Superior Children's Centre who has the support of a local company.
